Notable Lumbees Part II

This page lists Lumbee people—both past and present—who have made important contributions in one or more fields.  I have listed selected sources (by item number) from The Lumbee Indians: An Annotated Bibliography (1994) and selected sources from this Bibliography Supplement Web site.  I have not necessarily listed all sources in the Bibliography or the Bibliography Supplement about each person.  Please note, also, that “Field” often lists the work for which the individual is best known. The person may have since retired or may be doing different work now.

Readers who would like to suggest additions to this page are invited to email me at glennellen@bellsouth.net with the person's name and field of accomplishment.  One requirement for addition to this list is that the person has been written about in one or more published sources. If you know of a published source of information about the person you'd like added, or if you would like me to add other sources about someone already listed on this page, please send me the references.
