Brief mention.  Describes the seven-acre “personal history environment” constructed by the Rev. James Lowery, founder of the Hattadare Tribe and of the organization North Carolina Indian Adventure, Inc. Lowery's “personal history environment” contains a life-sized statue of himself and statues of his real and possible ancestors, including Henry Berry Lowry and Virginia Dare. This mission of Lowery's tribe is “reuniting all twenty-seven different eastern North Carolina tribes under one name” (p. 35).
