Editorial criticizing statements made by Chancellor Joseph Oxendine in a Tabor-Loris Tribune article regarding his resolve as chancellor of UNC-Pembroke not to show preference to Indians. Questions his hiring practices as Chancellor, particularly the fact that only four Indians were hired for positions of authority and only one Indian department chairperson remains. Calls on the chairperson of the Chancellor Search Committee to open the search to include local Indians.
