Robeson County's Board of Health recommended
that the county enact
zoning regulations regarding the location of future hog
farms.
The county's commissioners rejected the proposal, saying
it would
be too restrictive for farmers. If it had passed, Robeson
County
would have joined Randolph as the only counties in North
Carolina
to regulate the location of hog farms.
