Reports on 2000 census results for Robeson County. Whites now are 32.8%. Indians are 38.2%, Blacks 24.1%, and Hispanics (the fastest-growing segment) are 4.8%.

Whites have the oldest population (only 44% are younger than 35), the smallest families, and the largest number of households in the county.

Robeson County, with an average of 2.75 people per household, ranks third in the state in this category. With a median age of 32, Robeson is seventh youngest in the state in this category. Robeson is seventh highest in number of single-parent households.
