Lowry discusses items he has kept from the farm on which he was raised in the first half of the twentieth century, including siding made from the heartwood of long leaf pines; burlap cotton sheets used to hold cotton when picking it; a cornshuck scouring broom; a cast iron kettle; a milk churn; and a 2-man crosscut saw.
