This folklore research project collects stories on John W. Jacobs (1852-1925), whose wife, Mary Margaret Lowry, was a niece of Henry Berry Lowry. Mary’s father was a member of the Lowry gang. Chapter 4 discusses the Lowry era's effects on Mary.
