Publication type: Magazine article Andy Shake Winecoff, a Black member of the Lowry Gang, received a facial injury in the gang's robbery of a payroll delivery bound for the Lumbee River Cotton Mill. Shake was also employed for a time running errands in the office of Zebulon Vance.
