Category: 33. The Henry Berry Lowry period

1090. “Henry Berry Lowry is dead.” Lumberton Argus 3 Nov. 1905: 3.

Publication type: Newspaper article

Ouotes an article from the Florence Times. An Oxendine, brother-in-law of Lowry who became wealthy through mining in Mexico, recently stated there was no truth to the rumors (see entry 1089) that the outlaw was alive in Mexico. Oxendine himself helped bury the outlaw in a hollow log in the swamp.
