[Photocopy at RCPL] Library Location: Robeson County Public Library Publication type: Unpublished manuscript A radio mention of the Lowry Gang made the author, formerly North Carolina Adjutant General, decide to write a more accurate account. Gorman and his troops, commissioned by the states governor, tried to capture the gang in 1870-71. The paper is mentioned in Farris (entry 1099) and Evans (entry 1118). Evans dates it at 20 years after the demise of the gang. This annotation first appeared in The Lumbee Indians: An Annotated Bibliography (McFarland, 1994), by Glenn Ellen Starr.
