Program guide to accompany a 90-minute PBS documentary which discusses diversity among college faculty in the mid-1990s.  The documentary examines eight faculty (Asian-American, African American, Native American, and Latino) and how their teaching, scholarship, and service affect their academic institutions and their disciplines.  David Wilkins, Lumbee professor of Political Science and American Indian Studies at University of Arizona, is featured.  The program guide includes some actual dialogue from the video.  Wilkins talks about how he was received in his department, his research on tribal sovereignty, his dual perspective as political scientist and Indian affairs specialist, how Vine Deloria and his book, Custer died for your sins, affected him, and his identity as a Lumbee.
