Brief sketch of Michael L. Holmes, then 46, a
Navy pilot who grew up in the Saddletree community. He graduated
from Magnolia High School, Pembroke State University, and Navy Aviation
Officer Candidate School. He is one of only three (as of this writing)
Native American admirals in the Navy.
