Brief mention. Kelvin Sampson, Lumbee, is 61 in this list of 101 most influential minorities in sports. Sampson, men’s basketball coach for Oklahoma University, has a 390-229 record, has taken his team to ten straight NCAA tournaments, and in 2002 took OU to the Final Four.
