The Odum Home, established in 1942 by the Burnt Swamp Baptist Association to house orphaned Indian children, celebrated a dedication ceremony.  The estate of a Fayetteville couple, Luther and Audrey Carter, allowed renovations which enable the orphanage to house 55 children, rather than the previous 28.  The home is affiliated with Baptist Children's Homes of North Carolina.  The Carters' donation will also facilitate construction of a children's home in Fayetteville.
