Kenny Buffaloe, a Lumbee Karate instructor based in Seaboard, N.C., has been invited to serve as a special delegate to the Americas Cup 2000 Karate Tournament in New York City on September 23. This is “the largest full-contact, knockdown karate tournament in the United States.” Buffaloe will help judge and perform administrative duties. He has also been chosen to participate in an advanced training seminar under Kancho S. Matsui, leader/director of the International Kyokushin-kai karate organization.
