The complete report is as follows: "A fight between Croatan Indians and negroes took place on the line of the new railway in Robeson county. He says six or seven were wounded, some badly, and that he heard there was fear of a continuation of the trouble." No mention is made of who "he" is, or of the cause of the fight.
