Highlights the career and current projects of Jim Thomas, a real estate developer who began work in real estate thirty years ago. Prior to real estate, he worked for twenty years as a lawyer. From 1974-1996, he worked with Rob Maguire in Maguire/Thomas Partners of Los Angeles which built office complexes and other structures in the downtown area. He was also majority owner and general manager of the Sacramento Kings basketball team for seven years.

In 1996, Maguire/Thomas dissolved. Thomas is now Chairman and CEO of Thomas Properties Group, which has offices in Los Angeles, Dallas, San Antonio, Philadelphia, and Austin. The corporation “controls a nationwide, 3-million-square-foot portfolio.”
