On Saturday, July 1, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the Prospect Road location of the future Tribal Family Services Center. The facility, which will be 13,000 square feet and cost $800,000-$1 million, will house all LRDA programs. The programs, at present, are scattered among various buildings in Pembroke. Lonnie Locklear and Sons Construction Company expects to have the facility completed by December or January.
