Quality Housing Corporation, a Greensboro business, has announced that it will build a plant in COMtech, a site for an educational, technological, and industrial center near Pembroke. The plant hopes to create 70 jobs in its first three years. Quality Housing, which builds homes using structurally engineered paneling, is the first tax-paying business to locate in COMtech. COMtech personnel, along with Robeson County's economic development office, state economic development consultants, and Lumbee River Electric Membership Corp., worked together to get Quality Housing to locate its plant in Robeson County.
