Ronette Alesia Sutton Gerber was sworn into the North Carolina
State Bar September 21, 1998. She received her law degree from
UNC-Chapel Hill. She will practice in Asheville. Her father is
State Representative Ron Sutton. In an earlier ceremony, another
Lumbee, Rodney Oxendine, son of Simeon and Delores Oxendine, was
sworn in.
