Brief profile of Arlinda Locklear, a Lumbee lawyer who at least twice has successfully argued cases involving Native American rights before the U.S. Supreme Court.  She received her law degree from Duke University and began her law career as a staff attorney for the Native American Rights Fund.  She left NARF in 1987, began private practice, and has since devoted much of her time to helping the Lumbee tribe in its quest for federal recognition.
