Announces that a 30-minute video on Lumbee identity, entitled “Lumbee by grace: landmarks in Lumbee identity,” has been developed by the Native American Resource Center at UNC-Pembroke. The video is comprised of interviews with a wide range of Lumbee individuals about their conceptions of Lumbee identity. Harvey Godwin, a 1991 UNC-Pembroke graduate who owns and manages Two Hawk Employment Services, contributed $500 toward production of the video. Godwin has played the role of Henry Berry Lowry in “Strike at the Wind!” The video, which was a collaboration of the Native American Resource Center with UNC-Pembroke's Mass Communications Department and Media Integration Project, took a year to develop.
