HEAL002. “Healthy Appreciation [Noah Woods Resigns from Robeson County Board of Health].” Robesonian Monday, February 5, 2007.

Publication type: Newspaper article

This article announces that Noah Woods has resigned from the Robeson County Board of Health after fifteen years of service as chairperson. He will continue to serve as a trustee of Robeson Community College and as a member of the Robeson County Board of Commissioners. The article lists a number of accomplishments and commendations the Robeson County Health has achieved during the time Woods provided leadership as chairperson of its Board of Health, including the Board itself being recognized twice as an Outstanding Board of Health by the Association of North Carolina Boards of Health.

The article states, “We are confident that Woods would be the first to deflect credit away from the Health Board and himself, and onto Director Bill Smith and the department's employees. But the Health Board has provided leadership, and Woods has led the Health Board. That needs to be noted as Woods leave this position, and continues his work for the county in other arenas.”
