Brief profile of a new band, Tribal Conflict, whch includes Thomas Bradley Carter, Ricky Sampson, Brandon Hall, and Andrew Taft Smith. In addition to songs by Incubus, Stain, Lynyrd Skynrd, and Godsmack, the group has 14 original songs written by Carter, many of which deal with conflict within the Lumbee tribe and its difficulties obtaining federal recognition.

On May 17 the group won the Battle of the Bands at the White Lake Festival. They are hoping to get access to a studio and record a 6-song demo CD.
